What is the purpose of this ‘Community’ and aren’t they just a “Cult” and are bad?

That is a common misconception created by conservative moralists in order to disempower non-conforming groups of individuals.

The purpose of this is community.

To gather beings of likemind, who are tired of a world that they were unwillingly born into and who desire to form a community where they belong and can find their purpose.

What are you all doing?

I [we] are collecting, gathering and sacrificing what we can to build a physical commune that is self-sustaining and can generate all the things we need to survive as a whole.

What do I have to do to be a part of the Community of the Black Thorn?

I suggest taking a day, a week to gather your thoughts before moving onto the first step. Upon taking said week, fill out the Contact form and The Council will get back to you.

Ok, I have spoken to the Council, what now?

The Council will have provided further instructions for you.

Are you sure this isn’t a LARP?

If at any point you are not satisfied with being a part of the Goddess’s vision or have doubts, you are able to address your concerns with The Council.

If at that point, you are still unsatisfied, you may petition to speak with the Goddess.

This is a serious commitment to undertake.

Which is why we insist the individual take as much time as they need to decide if this is something they want.

Are you a Satanic cult?

No. We are not a Satanic cult.

There are two sections of Satanism; one is the Church of Satan and the other is The Satanic Temple.

Neither of which actually believe in Lucifer [Satan*] himself as an actual entity.

The Church of Satan is based on the teachings of Anton LaVey and is also known as LaVeyanism.

While The Satanic Temple is based on a vast historical library of teachings and have their own history and beliefs.

There are a lot of beliefs that the Satanic Temple has that we share; but that’d be akin to lumping every person who believed in reproductive rights as a Satanist.

So in short, no.

We are not a Satanic Cult or even a Luciferian one.

Where is this community located?

That is not public information as we value the privacy and wellbeing of our community.

Yes, there are codes of conduct with the Discord Server, the compound and for members of the Inner Sanctum.

As well as laws of the governing country.

What values is your community trying to embody?

We embody the rights of freedom of speech/expression, open mindedness and transcendentalism.
