Tenets of the Black Thorn
I
All that you sow, you will reap.
Sow sorrow and you in turn will reap sorrow.
Sow love and you will in turn, reap love.
II
One's path to purpose and fulfilment may not be your own, judge not.
For who comes to the End to find a new Beginning if they have found the answers to life's greatest mysteries?
III
If the Beast stirs within you and threatens to eat you from the inside.
Reach out for helping hands in placating the Beast.
For a Beast placated, rest longer than the ones that know the taste of destruction.
IV
Let go of all that you have known and believed.
The ideologies of the past did not serve you well.
V
Be like that of ice in the fjords on the coldest of days.
Transparent and unbreakable.
If you should feel the very firmament of your being begin to fail.
Take strength in those around you.
VI
Suffer not a fly to live on the bounty of our sweat and blood, for they will spawn a brood that’s set to destroy all that we have worked for.
VII
When confronted by a trial that seeks to overthrow you.
Know that failure isn’t the end.
Bear you fang and try again.
For your thread has been wound into the braid that makes us strong.
VIII
Abide by what human laws so as to not endanger us but respect not the mortal man's manipulation of your free will and path.
IX
Do not take an unwilling innocents life.
X
Do not force yourself upon another.
XI
Children are sacred and must be protected at all costs.
XII
Treachery in any form is an act of war upon us all.
XIII
The Goddess's word is final.
